Job summary

The Hercules Group of Companies in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a full-time Crane Technician to inspect and test hoists and cranes, ensuring safety certification in line with regulations. You will assist sales with quotes, help choose repair solutions, and travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications include a High school diploma or equivalent and Red Seal/Journeyman Electrician certification; overhead crane experience is an asset. Valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Red Seal or Journeyman Electrician certification.
• Experience maintaining & troubleshooting overhead electric cranes is an asset.
• Experience with working at heights and rigging fundamentals is an asset.
• Knowledge of electricity and hydraulics; able to troubleshoot general maintenance.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs safely.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections on various hoists and cranes.
• Diagnoses equipment problems and estimates repair costs.
• Maintains and repairs overhead cranes and components.
• Completes reports and submits for processing.
• Picks up and delivers products as required.
• Contributes to efficient work methods and customer quotes.
• Performs general labour and maintenance tasks.
• Follows safety and quality procedures at customer sites.
