Job summary

The Liftsafe Group of Companies is seeking a skilled technician to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair overhead cranes and related equipment in a fast-paced industrial setting in Ontario. You will perform preventive maintenance, read blueprints, and work with up to 600V electrical systems while coordinating with customers and office staff to ensure timely, high-quality service.

Qualifications include CSA B167-16, ability to work at heights, forklift/manlift operation, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

Proof of CSA B167-16 crane and hoist technician qualifications.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical data.
Ability to work in elevated areas with heights proof of completion.
Operate voltages up to 600V.
Use hand tools and trade tools proficiently.
Identify and resolve electrical problems and malfunctions.
Operate forklift and/or manlift equipment as needed.
Maintain accurate service and installation documentation.
Valid driver's license with clear status.

Responsibilities

Inspect overhead industrial cranes and hoists for safety and CSA/OSHA compliance.
Troubleshoot and repair material handling equipment and electrical systems.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities.
Serve as liaison between customer and office for service requests.
Evaluate repairs and provide improvement recommendations.
Maintain customer rapport with timely communication and service.
Document service actions with reports and checklists.
