Job summary

Convoy Supply Ltd is seeking a CDL Class 1/3 driver with crane experience for our Calgary, AB location. You will deliver and pickup materials, perform inspections, and ensure securement during transport.

Qualifications

• Class 1/3 CDL with clean driver’s abstract.
• HIAB crane certification required.
• Preferably at least 2 years of driving experience.
• Knowledge of flat deck load securement.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections.
• Load and unload materials.
• Ensure load securement and safe transport.
• Comply with company and government regulations.
• Operate truck safely in all weather conditions.
• Maintain clean equipment and report maintenance needs.

Position summary

We’re looking for self-sufficient, motivated CDL drivers for our Calgary, AB location at 3716 64 Avenue SE, T2C 2B4. who want to help us expand our fast-growing business.

Job requirements

• Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Load and unload materials
• Comply with company and government regulations and rules
• Ensure load securement including the installation of corner boards to protect products while in transport
• Match shipments to sales invoices
• Use Samsara to ensure compliance, safety, efficiency and customer service
• Operate truck safely
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Inspect vehicle daily as per Highway Traffic Act
• Maintain clean equipment and monitor maintenance requirements

Qualifications

• Class 1/3 CDL with clean driver’s abstract
• HIAB experience/crane certification required
• Preferably having at least 2 years of driving experience
• Manual Transmission experience is an asset
• Knowledge and competency in flat deck load securement
• Physically able to complete job tasks such as climbing ladders, pulling and throwing tarps, lifting up to 100 lbs
• Able to pass a Criminal Background check
• Punctual and reliable
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
