Position

This position will involve a diverse range of responsibilities, including accounting, bookkeeping, and personal and corporate tax preparation. The successful candidate will work closely with both our clients and our team of professionals, contributing to a collaborative and efficient workflow.

As our firm continues to grow, there is potential for this position to develop into a practice management role, with increasing responsibility for workflow coordination, client relationships, and supporting the overall operations of the firm.

Previous experience in public practice or with an accounting firm is an asset. Candidates interested in pursuing the CPA designation will be supported by the firm at the appropriate time.

Bluenose Accounting uses QuickBooks, CaseWare, and Taxprep. Experience with these software programs is a strong asset, although we are also willing to provide training to the right candidate.

The position offers a competitive salary based on qualifications and experience, along with employee benefits, including medical coverage and paid overtime compensation. We offer a flexible work schedule, including reduced working hours during the summer and fall. The firm covers annual CPA membership fees as well as course and examination fees for successfully completed CPA courses.
