Job summary

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions in North York is seeking a Manager / Senior Manager to join our leadership team. You will own a diverse portfolio of client engagements, supervise audits and tax work, and mentor junior staff while building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• CPA designation completed.
• 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience.
• Strong experience with audits, reviews, compilations, and tax engagements.
• Experience managing client files from planning through completion.
• Strong knowledge of ASPE and Canadian accounting standards.
• Experience reviewing financial statements and working papers.
• Previous experience mentoring or supervising junior staff.
• Strong communication and client relationship management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with partners and team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of privately held clients across various industries
• Oversee and complete audit, review engagement, and compilation files
• Review financial statements and working paper files prepared under ASPE
• Prepare and review corporate, personal, trust, and partnership tax returns
• Provide accounting and tax guidance to owner-managed businesses and private clients
• Handle complex accounting issues and provide practical recommendations
• Plan and execute engagements from planning through completion
• Review work performed by junior and intermediate staff and provide coaching and feedback
• Mentor and develop team members while supporting their professional growth
• Communicate directly with clients, partners, and internal teams regarding engagement status and requirements
• Assist with tax planning, special projects, and advisory-related assignments
