JobsMedia.io, based in Quebec, is seeking a Senior Accountant (CPA) to join our growing finance team in Longueuil. You will review financial statements, assess internal processes, and ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards and regulations.

You will lead closing procedures, support audits, develop budgets and forecasts, and work closely with accounting and finance teams to drive continuous improvement and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in good standing.
• 5 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent command of Canadian accounting standards.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation abilities.
• Autonomy and ability to work in a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and rigorous approach.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
• Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits and financial reviews in accordance with applicable standards.
• Review financial statements, management reports and other documents for accuracy and GAAP compliance.
• Evaluate internal controls and accounting systems to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Conduct regulatory compliance tests and audits.
• Prepare detailed reports with recommendations to improve accounting and operations.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures and financial statement prep.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits and year-end closing procedures.
• Assist in budgets and forecasts and analyze variances.
• Work with accounting and finance teams to resolve issues and develop improvements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting laws and regulations.

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Accountant (CPA) to join a growing Quebec-based company. You will play a key role in reviewing financial statements, evaluating internal processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and applicable regulations.

Your Responsibilities

• Conduct audits and financial reviews in accordance with applicable standards
• Review financial statements, management reports, and other accounting documents to validate their accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Evaluate internal controls and accounting systems to identify risks and opportunities improvement
• Conduct compliance tests and regulatory audits
• Prepare detailed reports with recommendations to improve accounting and operational practices
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures, as well as the preparation of financial statements
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits and year-end closing procedures
• Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and analyze variances
