The ideal candidate has a CPA with 5+ years of experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work autonomously within a team. Fluency in French and English is an asset. Proficiency in Excel and accounting software is required.

Qualifications

• CPA designation and in good standing.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits and financial reviews.
• Review financial statements for accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Evaluate internal controls and identify risks.
• Conduct compliance tests and regulatory audits.
• Prepare reports with recommendations to improve practices.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits and year-end.
• Assist in budgets and forecasts, and analyze variances.
• Work with finance teams to resolve issues and drive improvements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting laws and regulations.
