Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking a courier to provide courteous pick-up and delivery on an assigned route within the Surrey area. You will ensure shipments meet FedEx Canada service standards and you will maintain a professional appearance and strong customer relations.

The role involves route planning, safe driving, and accurate reporting of stop counts and missorts. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, valid driver’s license with a clean record, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or educational equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with equipment.
• 1+ year of customer-oriented business experience preferred.
• Knowledge of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; good time management and organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and efficient pick-up and delivery on an assigned route.
• Ensure shipments conform to FedEx Canada features of service; label correctly and keep paperwork neat.
• Maintain a professional appearance aligned with FedEx image; offer related customer service functions.
• Accurately select, inspect, report stop counts and missorts.
• Load/unload and sort packages as workload requires; operate safely and efficiently.
• Utilize computerized tracking and dispatch systems; input correct information.
• Answer customer questions about FedEx Canada's services and requirements; inform customers of company standards.
• Demonstrate proficiency with service features and equipment; comply with regulations.
• Operate vehicle following government regulations and company procedures; adapt to workload.
