Description

Working Hours: 25 hours per week.

Monday to Sunday flexible availability required, schedule varies upon needs - guaranteed 25 hours per week

Wage: $20.58/hr when working Courier shifts, $20.93/hr when working Sorting shifts

What is the job?

• Courier and Sort work as required
• Pick-up and delivery of customer's packages efficiently
• Ability to solve problems as they arise while on road
• Build positive relationships with both our internal teams and customers
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Managing daily delivery and pick-up schedules as assigned
• Unloading and sorting freight
• Preload trucks while pulling assigned freight off conveyor belt
• Scanning/Cubing/Reweighing
• Build positive relationships with team (couriers, lead hands and sorters)
• Working with conveyor and roller belts, inside trailers, cargo containers and package vehicles
• Accurately scan, count the number of stops on a truck and write all premium products while loading
• Adhere to all safety standards
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

Pick up and deliver customer packages to meet daily pick-up and delivery schedules.
Scan packages / mail as it is received, delivered, or returned to the depot at the end of the day.
Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch and customers.
Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections using a package scanner and electronic-Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (E-DVIR).

Requirements

• Ability to read maps; Good sense of geographical direction
• Flexible to work additional hours or overtime
• Able to pass a criminal record check
• Ability to lift up to 70lbs.
• Strong customer focus and communication
• Reliable and punctual behaviour
• Courier methods training and/or work-related experience
• Strong organizational skills
• Team player, Problem solving
• Proper scan and load techniques
