Midland Courier in Truro, NS is seeking a Class 5 Courier Driver to handle loading/unloading shipments, verify delivery accuracy, and ensure timely deliveries. Maintain a safe, clean vehicle and follow all company procedures and safety regulations.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 06:30 to 16:00, a competitive hourly rate of $25.16/hr, quarterly safety and fuel bonuses, a comprehensive benefits plan, RRSP matching, paid uniforms, and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Class G driver license with at least 2 years of safe courier experience.
  • Clean driver’s abstract and criminal record search.
  • Reliable 3-Ton truck with rear lift gate and heater/reefer unit, <=8 years old.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to lift up to 70 lbs with proper equipment.
  • Safety-conscious; branding Midland logos in green.

Responsibilities

  • Follow pickup and delivery procedures.
  • Load/unload truck safely to protect packages.
  • Process daily pickup and delivery records accurately.
  • Maintain company equipment standards.
  • Communicate effectively with customers.
  • Drive and use Hand Cart while following safety procedures.
  • Follow safety regulations and company policies.
  • Report incidents, accidents, injuries or damages.
  • Scheduled start/end times may vary with business needs.

Midland Courier is currently seeking a Class 5 Courier Driver based in Truro, NS. The selected candidate will be a reliable person with a strong work ethic, great and positive attitude and exceptional customer service skills.

Main Role

The successful candidate will handle the loading and unloading of shipments, verify delivery accuracy, and ensure all deliveries are completed in accordance with company procedures. In this role, you will also be responsible for maintaining the vehicle in a safe and clean operating condition and adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.

A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent customer service skills are essential for success in this role.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 06:30 - 16:00.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload truck/van properly and in a safe manner to avoid damaging packages.
  • Accurately process daily pickup and delivery records while ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Maintain company equipment standards.
  • Listen to and communicate efficiently with the customer.
  • Drive and use equipment (Hand Cart) while following safety procedures and traffic laws.
  • Work in accordance with the safety regulation, company rules and procedures.
  • Report any incident, accident, injury, damage.
  • Scheduled start and end times may vary depending on business needs
Qualifications
  • Education Required: High School or GED.
  • Class G driver’s license with a minimum of 2 years’ safe currier experience required.
  • Clean driver’s abstract and criminal search.
  • Must have a reliable 3-Ton Truck equipped with a rear lift gate and heater/ reefer unit and be no more than eight years old.
  • The Straight Truck should be in good condition (Checkups / Maintenance).
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to lift up to 70 lbs. using the proper equipment.
  • Excellent work ethic and reliability.
  • Safety conscious.
  • The successful applicant would have to brand the vehicle midland logos in green.
