Job summary

Dynacare is seeking a dedicated Medical Courier to handle the pickup and delivery of medical samples on a fixed route through Sudbury, Elliott Lake, Spanish, Massey, St. Sault Marie and Bracebridge. You will be a courteous company representative ensuring timely transport of samples and reports.

The role requires a valid Class 5 license with a clean driving abstract, TDG certification, and at least 1 year of courier experience. Lift up to 50 lbs and perform duties on-site under varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 driver's license with 3-year clean driving abstract.
• Physically able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial driver/courier role.
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods certified.
• Criminal background verification and clear driver abstract required.

Responsibilities

• Pickup and deliver medical samples in a courteous, timely, and respectful manner.
• Deliver medical reports and mail to locations on assigned route.
• Represent the company in a courteous, informative, and professional manner.
• Maintain safety and security of the vehicle at all times.

As a Courier, you play a crucial role for Dynacare and act as a true representative of the company. You are responsible for the pickup and safe delivery of medical samples in a courteous, timely, and respectful manner. These samples have important medical outcomes and treatments for physicians and patients, so we rely on the efficiency, accuracy, and careful transport of our couriers. Even seconds of delay can make a lasting difference to a client’s healthcare needs. This role not only allows you to make a real impact in your work, but also lets you do so while having flexibility in your daily life.

Status: Permanent Full-Time (benefits eligible)

Vacancy Type: New

Shift: Monday - Friday, 5:00 pm to 11:30 pm (60 hours per week)

Route: BSU03 - Transfer courier - Individual will conduct series of pickups in Sudbury, Elliott Lake, Spanish, Massey, St. Sault Marie and take to Bracebridge.

How YOU will make a difference:

• Being super-attentive to detail in ensuring all samples are picked up as scheduled for clients
• Deliver medical reports reliably and other mail to all locations on assigned route
• Act as the representative of the company and must be courteous, informative, and professional at all times
• Be responsible for the safety and security of the vehicle always

What YOU bring to the role:

• You bring a positive approach and a friendly attitude combined with a laser-focus on quality
• Strong teamwork skills, but you can work independently while being punctual and reliable
• You have a valid Class 5 driver's license with 3-year clean driving abstract.
• Physically able and can lift up to 30 pounds(lbs.)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial driver/courier role
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods certified

Working Conditions:

• To lift and transport specimen bags, supplies and waste from different locations.
• Movement in and out of vehicles
• To carry items up and down on stairs and in and out of the buildings.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds. Walk on stairs and continuously get in/off a vehicle.
• To deal with body fluids and hot and cold weather.
• Driving in city and on the highway (either day or night).
• Must deal with all weather conditions.
• Handling TDG regulated substances.
• To drive long hours, possibly from/to out of town/rural locations.

Pay rate: $19.50 - $23.25 per hour

The hiring pay range has been established; however, the final pay offer will be determined by taking into consideration various factors including but not limited to, level of experience and education requirements.
