Job summary

Dynacare in Stratford, Ontario is seeking a Medical Courier for a part-time Saturday, Sunday and holiday shift. The role involves timely collection and safe delivery of medical samples, serving as a Dynacare representative on-site and ensuring vehicle safety throughout the route.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of courier experience, a valid G license with a clean abstract, and TDG certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial driver/courier role.
• Valid G driver’s license with a 3-year clean driving abstract.
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Be super-attentive to detail to ensure samples are picked up as scheduled for clients.
• Deliver medical reports and other mail to all locations on the assigned route.
• Act as the company representative in a courteous, informative, and professional manner at all times.
• Ensure the safety and security of the vehicle at all times.

As aCourier, you play a crucial role for Dynacare and act as a true representative of the company. You are responsible for the pickup and safe delivery of medical samples in a courteous, timely, and respectful manner. These samples have important medical outcomes and treatments for physicians and patients, so we rely on the efficiency, accuracy, and careful transport of our couriers. Even seconds of delay can make a lasting difference to a client’s healthcare needs. This role not only allows you to make a real impact in your work, but also lets you do so while having flexibility in your daily life. This is a permanent, part time position.

Status: Part-time permanent

Shift: Sat; Sun; & Holidays 5:45 am - 1:45 pm

Route: LST61/LST71/LST81

Work Style: On-site

Location: Stratford

Deadline for Internal Applicants: Thursday, September 10th, at 5 PM EST

This route will start and end at the Stratford Dynacare Hub. Dynacare vehicle will be parked onsite. Courier will be responsible to arrive at the Stratford Dynacare site for start of shift and park the Dynacare vehicle in the designated spot at the end of shift.

• Be responsible for the safety and security of the vehicle always

What YOU bring to the role:

• You bring a positive approach and a friendly attitude combined with a laser-focus on quality
• Strong teamwork skills, but you can work independently while being punctual and reliable
• You have a valid G driver’s license with 3-year clean driving abstract
• Physically able and can lift up to 50 pounds (lbs.)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial driver/courier role
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods certified
