Job summary

Dynacare in Canada is seeking a Medical Courier dedicated to accurate and timely pickup and delivery of medical samples for physicians and patients. This on-site role operates on a Monday–Friday schedule with a focus on care, professionalism, and safety in handling specimens.

You will represent the company on the road, ensure samples are picked up as scheduled, and deliver reports to multiple locations while upholding Dynacare’s standards and values.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial driver/courier role.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification.

Responsibilities

• Pickup and deliver medical samples on schedule to ensure timely results for patients and physicians.
• Deliver medical reports and other mail to locations on the assigned route.
• Represent Dynacare in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
• Maintain safety and security of the vehicle and cargo.

As a Courier, you play a crucial role for Dynacare and act as a true representative of the company. You are responsible for the pickup and safe delivery of medical samples in a courteous, timely, and respectful manner. These samples have important medical outcomes and treatments for physicians and patients, so we rely on the efficiency, accuracy, and careful transport of our couriers. Even seconds of delay can make a lasting difference to a client’s healthcare needs. This role not only allows you to make a real impact in your work, but also lets you do so while having flexibility in your daily life.

Job Details

• Status: Permanent Full-Time (benefits eligible)
• Vacancy Type: New
• Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:45 am - 5:15 pm (37.5 hours per week)
• Route: BSU02 - St. Sault Marie and Bracebridge. Individual will conduct a series of pickups in these areas then deliver to a transfer point at the end of the shift.

How YOU will make a difference:

• Being super-attentive to detail in ensuring all samples are picked up as scheduled for clients
• Deliver medical reports reliably and other mail to all locations on assigned route
• Act as the representative of the company and must be courteous, informative, and professional at all times
• Be responsible for the safety and security of the vehicle always

What YOU bring to the role:

• You bring a positive approach and a friendly attitude combined with a laser-focus on quality
• Strong teamwork skills, but you can work independently while being punctual and reliable
• You have a valid Class 5 driver’s license with 3-year clean driving abstract.
• Physically able and can lift up to 30 pounds(lbs.)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial driver/courier role
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods certified

Working Conditions:

• To lift and transport specimen bags, supplies and waste from different locations.
• Movement in and out of vehicles
• To carry items up and down on stairs and in and out of the buildings.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds. Walk on stairs and continuously get in/off a vehicle.
• To deal with body fluids and hot and cold weather.
• Driving in city and on the highway (either day or night).
• Must deal with all weather conditions.
• Handling TDG regulated substances.
• To drive long hours, possibly from/to out of town/rural locations.

Pay rate: $19.50 - $23.25 per hour

The hiring pay range has been established; however, the final pay offer will be determined by taking into consideration various factors including but not limited to, level of experience and education.
