Job summary

LifeLabs is seeking a part-time Courier to transport specimens, supplies and reports from the Ottawa location at 1919 Riverside Dr, Ottawa, ON. The role requires flexible hours and shifts based on operational needs, with telematics monitoring of driving. Start date is 13 October 2026.

Responsibilities include safe, timely transport, representing the brand with professionalism, using LifeLabs technology for readings and timekeeping, and ensuring customer satisfaction in all interactions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Full valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• 3 years of driving experience with a full valid license.
• Ability to lift and/or maneuver up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible availability and quick shift changes.
• Successful completion of LifeLabs Driver Performance Evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Represent LifeLabs brand with professionalism and integrity on the road.

As a Courier, you will be responsible for transporting specimens, supplies, and reports in an efficient, dependable, punctual, proper, safe, and professional manner. You will also be a LifeLabs brand ambassador on the road, demonstrating the important service LifeLabs provides to the community while maintaining our established reputation.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Safely transport specimens in a timely manner to preserve specimen integrity, while ensuring a high level of maturity, customer service, and accountability in various driving conditions, rural or urban areas, during daytime and evening hours.
• Represent the LifeLabs brand with professionalism and integrity by providing a positive experience at every touch point.
• Utilize LifeLabs technology to access and complete on-line readings and training, read emails and complete timecards.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by handling all situations with professionalism.

What you will bring to the role:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A full valid driver’s license and clean driver’s record
• 3 years of driving experience with a full valid license
• Ability to lift and/or maneuver up to 50 pounds: some heavy lifting will be involved.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Ability to work a specified route schedule
• Requires successful completion of LifeLabs Driver Performance Evaluation.
