Job summary

LifeLabs LP is seeking a Courier to transport specimens, supplies, and reports in a punctual and safe manner. The role acts as a LifeLabs brand ambassador, delivering professional service across various driving conditions and shifts.

The position is casual (float) with responsibilities including data access via LifeLabs technology, timecard completion, and maintaining customer satisfaction. A valid driver’s license and physical capability are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Full valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• 3 years of driving experience with a full valid license.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
• Flexible work hours and availability for sudden shift changes.

Job description

As a Courier, you will be responsible for transporting specimens, supplies, and reports in an efficient, dependable, punctual, proper, safe, and professional manner. You will also be a LifeLabs brand ambassador on the road, demonstrating the important service LifeLabs provides to the community while maintaining our established reputation.

Status: Casual (Float)

Shift: Various based on operational needs

Location: 3460 Schmon

Additional Requirements: This is a rotating role that requires flexibility to work days, afternoons, nights, and weekends

Number of positions: 1

Start Date: 5 October 2026

Union: This is part of the OPSEU Thorold collective agreement

Please note: all company vehicles have a Telematics system to monitor driving.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Safely transport specimens in a timely manner to preserve specimen integrity, while ensuring a high level of maturity, customer service, and accountability in various driving conditions, rural or urban areas, during daytime and evening hours.
• Represent the LifeLabs brand with professionalism and integrity by providing a positive experience at every touch point.
• Utilize LifeLabs technology to access and complete on-line readings and training, read emails and complete timecards.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by handling all situations with professionalism.

What you will bring to the role:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A full valid driver’s license and clean driver’s record
