A leading financial services company is seeking an HR Leader to drive talent management and organizational effectiveness. Responsibilities include leading HR teams, ensuring compliance with laws, and advising senior leadership while promoting diversity and inclusion. The ideal candidate has extensive HR experience and knowledge of employment laws in Canada.
Role Description
Partner with country business heads and senior management teams.
Coordinate GHR services with global HR Business Partners and COEs.
Drive business success by attracting, retaining, deploying, and developing talent.
Lead and manage local HR teams for aligned and client-focused HR delivery.
Ensure regulatory compliance and act as GHR liaison with local regulators.
Complete required Audit/Compliance/FLOD initiatives for GHR in Canada and Cayman.
Represent GHR in local market boards and industry forums.
Support Sales/RFP requests and participate in client presentations.
Lead in-country M&A activities.
Advise senior leadership on HR topics and organizational effectiveness.
Promote diversity and inclusion and support State Street values.
Mitigate risk by ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Provide data and analytics for business insights and decisions
This role will have dual reporting line to Rob Baille
Role Qualifications & Experience
At least 10 years of HR generalist experience in strategy, organizational development, compensation, and talent acquisition within large organizations.
Senior-level HR expertise across various disciplines, including benefits and retirement plans.
Successfully engaged with co-determination partners in committee representation.
Comfortable operating in a matrix environment, balancing local/regional and global requirements.
Proven ability to develop and execute HR strategies supporting business goals.
Strong commercial acumen, preferably in financial services, with extensive knowledge of employment and labor law in Cayman and Canada. Proven people management skills and ability to lead multi-functional HR teams.
Experience representing the entity and senior management in committees and meetings.
Superior communication, consulting, interpersonal, influencing, negotiating, and critical thinking skills.
