Job summary

EMCO is seeking a Counter Salesperson to deliver high‑level customer service at the Regina Profit Centre. You will maintain the counter, assist walk‑in customers, and process orders while coordinating with Inside and Outside Sales as needed.

The role requires a Grade 12 diploma, strong communication, and the ability to learn the order entry software. You will multitask, build relationships with customers and vendors, and support inventory and backorders to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; College and/or University degree an asset.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with customer service or counter sales.
• Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates.
• Ability to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional atmosphere for walk‑in customers.
• Uphold core values and ethics with every interaction.
• Be an effective teammate in the Profit Centre who is self‑motivated and able to handle multiple tasks.
• Understand the benefits and qualities of the different products the Profit Centre sells.
• Be knowledgeable of the customer’s business to provide the best service.
• Be comfortable prioritizing and multitasking when assisting customers.
• Be courteous, friendly, and build relationships with customers and vendors.
• Assist customers who purchase material at the Profit Centre counters.
• Research product for customers and provide recommendations on our assortment of product.
• Drive sales growth through ownership of counter merchandising, product promotion, and generate leads for the Outside Account Manager while networking with customers at the counter.
