Job summary

Associated Youth Services of Peel (AYSP) is seeking a Counsellor to support families through the Triple P program. The role delivers home-based and virtual sessions for parents/caregivers of children aged 0–17, using evidence-informed approaches.

It is a temporary full-time contract with 35 hours per week, hybrid work, based at the Peel Region head office. Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field, registration in good standing with an Ontario college, 1–2 years of

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field.
• Registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or CRPO in good standing.
• 1–2 years’ experience with children, youth and families.
• Knowledge of child/adolescent development and family dynamics.
• Strength-based and systemic perspective in assessment.
• Engagement, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Group leadership and facilitation experience.
• French or another language is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Participate in program training and accreditation in Triple P.
• Conduct home-based and virtual sessions for families with children 0–17.
• Provide parenting support, coaching, and skill-building.
• Coordinate and facilitate parent groups or seminars.
• Maintain documentation (assessments, case notes, discharge summaries).
• Engage in bi-weekly peer supervision and monthly clinical supervision.
• Build alliances with collateral agencies and service providers.
• Work flexible hours including evenings and travel as required.
