Saskatoon Community Clinic is seeking a dedicated counsellor/psychotherapist to work with Indigenous clients in Saskatoon and district, delivering trauma-informed, culturally safe care through individual, couple and family therapy.

To promote the mental, emotional, social and spiritual health of SCC patients through trauma-informed, culturally safe and evidence-based practices. To do this through individual, couple, and family therapy, education, advocacy, community action, program leadership, and connecting clients to cultural services and resources.
Provides counselling and psychotherapy to Saskatoon and district people who are Indigenous and Westside Clinic patients.
Takes responsibility as the primary counsellor/psychotherapist and case manager for clients.
Caseload will include some complex and difficult-to-serve cases.
Interviews clients and assesses personal, family, social and employment functioning relevant to the problems and symptoms presented. Assesses social and other environmental concerns.
Collaboratively determines a service plan and facilitates it through: individual, couple and family therapy; group treatment; connecting clients to cultural services and resources; and/or environmental change. Monitors and follows- up on client progress.
Treats clients emotional, psychological, and relationship difficulties using a range of therapeutic models and methods.
Refers clients to appropriate community agencies and services for assistance in improving personal, social, and vocational functioning, and for practical help. Advocates on their behalf as appropriate and necessary.
