Job description

The Cost / Schedule / Controls Engineer will perform or coordinate efforts for cost estimate preparation, estimating oversight, and quality assurance reviews for Company-operated and Other Builder Operator estimates across all Gate and Funding milestones. This role includes preparing Check Estimates and Schedules to compare with Operator-prepared submittals, participating in estimate and schedule assessments to verify project cost and schedule bases, and contributing to process improvements in estimating group efficiency and quality assurance reviews.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to Level 1 and 2 tasks, a Level 3 engineer will:

  • Work with project estimators, planners, schedulers, and the client's accounting staff.
  • Coordinate and assemble monthly progress reports.
  • Collaborate closely with the client's project manager and team leads to meet regulated and non-regulated accounting reporting requirements.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering within the discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • Previous experience in a closely related position.
  • Skills to negotiate and broker successful solutions among internal coordination parties.
  • Advanced proficiency in Cost Estimating, Project Planning, and Project Controls.
  • Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, plan, control, coordinate, and manage cross-functional activities effectively.
