Job summary

Greenfield Global's Brampton Packaging Facility is seeking a Plant Accountant to support operational excellence, financial performance, and continuous improvement. You will work with Operations, Production, Supply Chain, and Plant Leadership to drive informed business decisions and ensure the financial health of a growing manufacturing operation.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing, inventory, cost accounting, or operational finance.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience working with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Managing inventory accounting, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Supporting product costing and manufacturing accounting activities.
• Participating in month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
• Partnering with Operations and Supply Chain teams to improve inventory accuracy and operational performance.
• Supporting physical inventory counts and investigating inventory variances.
• Assisting with purchasing, accounts payable, and procurement-related activities.
• Maintaining inventory and product master data within ERP systems.
• Supporting internal controls, audits, compliance reporting, and regulatory requirements.
• Contributing to process improvements and systems enhancement projects, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 initiatives.
• Providing analysis and insights that support operational and financial decision-making.

What You’ll Do

• CPA designation or progress toward certification
• Experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience
• Knowledge of inventory management and cost accounting principles
