Brandt is seeking a Cost Accountant for our Regina, SK location. You will analyze costs across materials, labor, and overhead, prepare reports, and work with engineering and manufacturing to develop cost standards.
The role requires CPA designation with 3 years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing, strong Excel, and solid understanding of accounting principles, with on-site collaboration and cross-functional teamwork.

Analyzing data collected and recording results.
Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on cost.
Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs including but not limited to purchase price to cost variance, cost revaluation, invoice to PO price variances and work order variances.
Ensure process integrity within Manufacturing, Intercompany, and Inventory while working with cross-functional peers to resolve process issues.
Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures.
Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports.
Making estimates of new and proposed product costs.
Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
Review and analysis of new product costing in conjunction with engineering and manufacturing.
Maintaining cost accounting system.
Assist with physical inventory counts and monitors cycle count program.
Other duties as assigned.
