Job summary

The Government of Alberta is seeking a Sentence Administrator at Fort Saskatchewan Correctional Centre to manage court-ordered sentences, calculate dispositions, and ensure lawful detention or release of inmates. You will work with JOIN and CPIC systems and interact with courts, police, and other stakeholders.

The role requires a High School Diploma with 3 years of sentence administration experience and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus three years of Sentence Administration related experience including administrative work, data entry, and/or legal administration.
• Equivalency: 1 year education for 1 year experience or 1 year experience for 1 year education.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining offender warrant files and ensuring accurate legal documents are interpreted.
• Preparing and updating inmate legal files and handling complex sentence calculations.
• Liaising with Sheriffs and Court stakeholders to coordinate inmate transportation to court dates.
• Applying FOIP Act principles while assisting internal and external stakeholders.
• Data entry within ORCA and performing general administrative tasks.
