Fidelity Canada is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join our Finance team. You will manage tax planning, compliance, and reporting across the organization, collaborating with leadership and external advisors to support objectives.

Role involves preparing tax provisions and returns, conducting research on technical tax matters, and guiding audit responses while ensuring alignment with tax legislation and proactive planning.

Competenze

  • 5–7 years of accounting/tax experience, including tax audits, disputes, and transfer pricing.
  • CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program is preferred.
  • Public accounting (Big 4) or in-house corporate tax experience is strongly preferred.

Job Description

Please note:

  • Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.

  • This is a regular, full-time role.

  • You will be working on a hybrid schedule as part of Fidelity’s dynamic working arrangement.

  • The work location for this role is 483 Bay Street in Toronto until approx. 2026, when the work location will change to the new Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway.

How You’ll Make an Impact

The Corporate Tax team operates in a dynamic, high-performance environment focused on managing complex tax audits, disputes, and strategic tax initiatives across multiple legal entities. The team plays a critical role in managing significant tax risk and partnering with senior leadership, business divisions, and external advisors to support the organization’s objectives.

The Corporate Tax Manager is a member of our Finance team (Corporate Tax group) and reports to the Director, Corporate Tax. This role assists with managing the company's tax planning, compliance and reporting functions, including research and analysis of technical tax matters. This involves preparing and/or reviewing the corporate income and indirect tax returns forthe company, its subsidiaries and affiliates; engaging in practical, forward looking tax planning, andmanaging any audits or enquiries from various tax authorities; and performing related researchand analysis of tax technical matters arising in these areas of responsibility.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Perform corporate tax work which can include preparing/reviewing tax provisions, income and other tax returns, tax research/tax consulting, tax planning and analysis, leading of tax engagements and managing tax audits.

  • Review of tax processes.

  • Working on special projects on an as-needed basis.

  • Perform tax planning to minimize tax with a good understanding of the business andoperations.

  • Provide tax support and tax advice to other groups such as other teams withinFinance, Operations, Legal and other business units and areas as needed.

  • Prepare/review quarterly and annual taxprovisions. Ensure tax is minimized according to tax legislation and proactive tax planningwith a good understanding of the business and operations

  • Research tax issues requested by the various departments throughout the companies andprovide recommendations.

  • Assist with non-routine tax issues and projects as they arise.

What We Are Looking For
  • University degree, preferably in accounting, finance, business, or a related discipline. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.

  • Minimum 5-7 years of working experience in accounting/tax, corporate tax experience required, including tax audits, disputes, and transfer pricing.

  • Professional designation or advanced tax qualification, such as a CPA or Master of Taxation required.

  • Completion of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program preferred.

  • Experience within financial services or a complex, multi-entity organization preferred.

  • Public accounting (Big 4) or relevant in-house corporate tax experience strongly preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of income tax legislation and practices with respect to a variety ofdifferent types of corporate and other taxes

  • Good knowledge of the Canadian and global investment industry

  • Good knowledge of tax accounting standards

  • Ability to plan projects, coordinate time requirements and manage personal work to deadlines

  • You have a solid understanding of Microsoft Excel and keen analytical skills.

  • Ability to establish effective business relationships

  • Ability to contribute to good working relationships among team members and across different groups.

  • Base Salary and Discretionary Performance Bonus: Total annual cash compensation (base salary plus target bonus) ranges from $139,000 to $176,000, based on your experience and qualifications.
