MLT Aikins LLP is seeking a Corporate Paralegal to join our Winnipeg team, leveraging experience from a busy corporate practice at a business law firm, and will have graduated from a recognized legal assistant/paralegal training course (equivalencies considered). The candidate should have strong attention to detail and outstanding organizational and communication skills.

You will handle corporate filings across Canada, maintain minute books, draft transactional documents, and support lawyers on

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized legal assistant/paralegal diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of corporate paralegal or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of Manitoba and Federal corporate legislation.
• Experience drafting transactional documents.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to collaborate with others on the team.
• Experience working with a corporate platform.
• Analytical and capable of applying concepts.

Responsibilities

• Attending to online filings with Companies Office Online and Corporations Canada.
• Attending to filings with Corporate Registries across Canada.
• Drafting and filing corporate documents for transactional matters.
• Conducting minute book reviews and correcting deficiencies.
• Conducting and reviewing corporate searches.
• Responding to daily inquiries from lawyers and clients.
• Updating and maintaining corporate records in the corporate database.
