Qualifications

We are currently seeking a talented Corporate (Mergers & Acquisitions) Lawyer to join our legal team, working closely with our Transaction Tax team. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with a deep understanding of business law, especially in corporate law and M&A, and a keen interest in the financial aspects of transactions.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Negotiate, draft, and modify various commercial agreements, including NDAs, LOIs, Share Purchase Agreements, Asset Purchase Agreements, and Shareholder Agreements.
  2. Support matters related to acquisitions, sales of businesses, and corporate reorganizations.
  3. Learn transaction-related financial and accounting concepts.
Qualifications
  1. 3 to 5 years of experience in business law, with a preference for expertise in corporate law, M&A, and corporate finance.
  2. Proficiency in contract negotiation and drafting.
  3. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  4. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  5. Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  7. Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken.
  8. Proactive, creative, quick learner, and adaptable.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).
  10. Fluency in both French and English is required due to client interactions.
