Qualifications

• LLB/J.D. from an accredited law school and member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia.
• 3+ years of corporate commercial experience.
• Strong research and drafting skills.
• Ability to manage a significant practice.
• Confident at engaging with clients.
• Exceptional work ethic, client service oriented and team player; and
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad range of corporate commercial matters with increasing autonomy.
• Conduct legal research and provide practical legal advice.
• Draft, review and negotiate corporate and commercial agreements.
• Assist with corporate reorganizations, transactions and related matters.
• Conduct due diligence and prepare transaction documentation.
• Manage delegated files from senior lawyers.
• Communicate directly with clients and provide responsive, practical service.
• Work collaboratively with lawyers and legal support staff across Vancouver, Langley and West Vancouver locations.
• Maintain appropriate file management, billing and time-entry practices.
• Contribute to the continued growth and development of the firm’s corporate commercial practice.
