- Assist in verifying all announcements pertaining to offers for accuracy. Research and adjust any discrepancies.
- Act as a point of contact for procedural and process questions.
- Provide relief for management by assisting in reviewing and overseeing controls of the department to reduce/minimize risk to the firm (e.g., dual verification on tenders and notifications sent to the front office).
- Act as a subject matter expert through projects to improve efficiency and adapt to changing market standards within the firm; participate as a member within the firm or industry-wide committees.
- Deliver high-quality customer service interactions to internal and external customers (e.g., brokers, agents, issuers) to exceed expectations and create positive experiences.
- Interact directly—verbally and in writing—with clients (broker-dealers) and third parties (agents, issuers, counterparties).
- Follow policy and procedure changes to ensure proper controls are maintained.
- Assist in creating procedures designed to strengthen quality and risk controls.
- Monitor key control reports.
- Participate as a project lead/member/SME for projects, initiatives, and conversions related to the Entitlements Team.
The Experience You Bring
- Completion of Post-Secondary Education or equivalent experience.
- More than 5 years of experience in the securities/brokerage industry, ideally with a minimum of 3 years in corporate actions and entitlements processing, including tax and legal implications for clients.
