  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and oversee transaction accuracy.
  • Support treasury activities, including daily cash position monitoring and weekly cash reporting.
Month-End & Financial Reporting
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts, accounts receivable, prepaids, intercompany accounts, fixed assets, accounts payable, and accruals.
  • Maintain accurate and complete general ledger records while ensuring strict confidentiality of financial information.
  • Execute month-end close activities, including the preparation of accruals for recurring operating expenses such as leases, rent, payroll-related expenses, professional fees, IT costs, and other corporate expenditures.
  • Prepare employee charge-back invoices to condominium corporations for contract work and temporary operational support.
Compliance & Audit Support
  • Ensure timely filing and remittance of HST and WSIB obligations.
  • Prepare year-end working papers to support tax filings and annual external audits.
  • Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation as required.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
  • Support the Assistant Controller and finance leadership team with special projects, process improvements, and ad hoc financial analysis.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CPA designation completed or in progress is considered a strong asset.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in corporate accounting, property management, real estate, or condominium management.
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, accruals, month-end close, and financial reporting.
