The Mason Group Inc in Richmond, BC is seeking a Corporate Accountant for a 7-month contract. You will own the full accounting cycle, from AP/AR through to month-end and year-end close.

This role offers opportunities to drive automation, participate in profitability analysis, inventory counts, payroll and cash flow forecasting, and to work directly with a Director of Finance who values process improvements.

Qualifications

• Full cycle accounting experience up to and including period end close & preparation of financial statements.
• Experience in manufacturing or food services industry is an asset.
• Very strong written & verbal English communications skills are required.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online will be a differentiator.
• Organized, and detail oriented with a passion for communicating with stakeholders.
• Bright, detail oriented, able to work independently but with excellent interpersonal skills to work with this team.
• Humble enough to know when to ask for help and to ask questions!

Responsibilities

• Oversee full AP & AR cycle through to month-end and year-end close.
• Own the month-end and year-end close processes, not a cleanup project.
• Recommend automation to streamline processes.
• Involve in profitability analysis, inventory counts, payroll and cash flow forecasting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and finance leadership to drive improvements.

If you like working hands-on with ‘the business’ while reporting to an exciting parent company who is experiencing strategic growth, we have a great 7-month contract for you to consider. Our very successful mid-size, entrepreneurial client is looking for a Corporate Accountant to cover a 7 month contract in Richmond BC.

This company is small enough for you to own the entire process, from overseeing AP & AR through to leading the month-end and year-end close processes. This is not a clean up project. Things are running well but there are always opportunities to bring your experience to the forefront and recommend automation to streamline processes.

You will be reporting to a Director of Finance at the Parent Co who is a HUGE lover of automation and will be looking for your ideas.

Aside from the full-cycle accounting responsibility, you will get involved in profitability analysis, inventory counts, payroll and cash flow forecasting. A little bit of everything to add variety to the role.

This role is a great fit for someone with a few years of hands-on, full cycle accounting experience and a passion for automation.
