Kinross Gold Corporation is seeking a Core Logging Geologist for the Great Bear project in Red Lake, Ontario. Under the Chief Geologist, you will log diamond drill core focusing on lithology, structure, mineralization, and alteration, and contribute to geological interpretations as the project advances toward resource delineation and potential open pit or underground operations.
This role offers a full salary range of CAD 85,000 to CAD 100,000 plus a short-term incentive bonus and comprehensive
The Great Bear project is a development-stage asset located in the renowned and prolific Red Lake mining district, and represents one of the most exciting recent gold discoveries globally. The project has excellent potential to become a top-tier deposit that could support a large, long-life mine complex. Kinross’ comprehensive exploration and development program will aim to support the vision of a quality, high-grade, open-pit mine and a longer-term, sizeable underground mine.
Under the guidance of the Chief Geologist, the Core Logging Geologists will be positive hard working team players who are passionate about geology and help to grow the Kinross – Great Bear project from generative exploration and drill targeting, through to resource delineation and grade control in the future Open Pit and Underground environments. Core Logging Geologists will work independently to better understand all geologic factors and bring forward ideas to further improve our understanding of the mineralized system and surrounding areas.
A Bachelor of Science in Geology or Earth Sciences is required. Professional Geoscience or G.I.T is beneficial. There is no minimum experience requirement for this position; however, individuals with previous exploration experience is beneficial.

This position is based in Red Lake, Ontario. Local candidates, or those willing to relocate with relocation assistance, will be given priority for this position. The local schedule is 8X6. However, a FIFO/DIDO arrangement may be considered with a schedule of 21X14.
The base salary range for the Core Logging Geologist is $85,000 to $100,000 + Short Term Incentive Bonus, + Group Benefit Coverage.
The hiring range reflects our targeted compensation framework for the role. The actual offer will be determined through a comprehensive evaluation of each candidate's experience, capabilities, and potential impact, along with consideration of internal equity, team structure, and benchmark market data for similar positions.
