Job summary

Halton Catholic District School Board invites applications for occasional teachers to fill long-term assignments.

Assignments follow Part A, Article 17.3 of the OECTA Elementary Collective Agreement, with priority to unplaced, qualified teacher applicants by seniority. Ontario Certified Teacher credentials are encouraged, including Transitional Certificates from the Ontario College of Teachers.

Qualifications

• Ontario Certified Teacher applicants or education students holding or who have applied for OCT credentials.
• Qualified applicants from the Elementary Teacher bargaining unit prioritized by seniority.
• Encourages applications from Indigenous and under-represented groups as part of equity initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Fill long-term assignments in accordance with Part A, Article 17.3 of the current OECTA Elementary Collective Agreement.
• Priority placement will be given to unplaced, qualified redundant teacher applicants from the Elementary Teacher bargaining unit, in order of seniority.
• Adhere to recruitment protocols and collaborate with Human Resources Services/Teacher Recruitment staff during the process.
