Overview

ENERGY Transportation Group is currently looking to add a Logistics Coordinator to its LaSalle team. Please note that this is an in-office position.

What you will be responsible for?

Reporting to the Operations Team Lead, you will be making quick decisions while building a network of carriers to service our client's accounts; making sure their freight is picked up and delivered on time across North America, 24/7/365. In this role, you will work closely with the Customer Service department and our North American vendors.

Core Responsibilities
  • Source and procure carrier services to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of customer freight.
  • Ensure that the system is updated with the most accurate information on our carrier base.
  • Negotiate with carriers to maximize profitability of loads consigned to ENERGY.
  • Monitor service providers to ensure that company and customer service requirements are being met.
  • Develop and grow core/key carriers to provide additional capacity.
  • Identify service and cost improvement opportunities and synergies, such as dedicated operations and continuous movement.
  • Act as a facilitator for carrier problem resolution in regards to claims, payments or other business issues.
Requirements
  • Experience within a 3PL brokerage/transportation environment is an asset, but not required.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills, strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Quick learner with ability to multi-task.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
  • Fluency in French and English, oral and written, is required (since we do business with clients based in Canada and the United States; knowledge of both languages is important and an asset).
