Overview

The Operations Coordinator position will provide support to the Bakery Operations team in the areas of human resources and talent acquisition, finance, and operations. The incumbent will take ownership of key people activities that impact employee culture in our bakeries, several programs and events that are essential to daily operations, and key financial systems at the bakery level. This role will provide the incumbent with the opportunity to develop broad cross-functional expertise in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Location: 255 Chemin Industriel, Gatineau, Qc J8R 3V8
• Status: Full Time
• Schedule: Monday-Friday

Responsibilities
  • Support strong collaborative partnerships with the HR department as well as the acquisition team for the hiring of front-line employees in the bakery and to raise the caliber of talent overall in Longueuil.
  • Manage and maintain aspects of payroll, insurance, sick leave, etc. for each employee via our HRMS (Human Resources Management System).
  • Coordinate and support safety and environmental programs.
  • Manage the invoicing process to ensure all invoices are paid on time.
  • Assist in resolving any issues related to non-payment of suppliers.
Requirements
  • Three to five years of administrative experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Post-secondary studies in human resources, management, or a related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of SAP, Workday, and Kronos is an asset.
  • Experience in a unionized environment.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Ability to resolve problems with minimal supervision.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of the processing of sensitive information.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with all employees at all levels.
  • Attention to detail and a track record of accuracy.
  • A keen sense of problem-solving.
  • Ability to deliver results in a lean, fast-paced organization, utilizing strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
