Coordinator, Professional Practice and Health Discipline Academics

Position Overview

The Coordinator, Professional Practice and Health Discipline academics is responsible for coordinating various functions to support the department leadership team and the program. Reporting to the Director of Professional Practice with shared reporting to the Manager of Academic Affairs, the Coordinator handles administrative processes related to daily departmental functions. This includes organizing meetings and events, supporting special projects, managing human resources activities such as recruitment and attendance, payroll, ordering supplies and equipment, and updating departmental intranet and internet. Hospital-wide responsibilities include site leadership for the simulation lab, overseeing academic placements for IPP students, and providing coverage for administrative colleagues as needed.

Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Office Administration or equivalent required; undergraduate degree preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent relevant administrative experience with demonstrated project management and leadership skills.
  • Experience in healthcare environment required; hospital-based experience is an asset.
  • Technical proficiency in platforms such as Wufoo and Air Table, and managing websites and virtual databases.
  • Ability to develop electronic data presentations.
  • Flexible working hours to meet departmental needs.
  • Strong customer service orientation and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
  • Accountability, problem-solving, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Alignment with TEHN core values and good attendance record.
