Job summary

Alberta-Pacific Forest Industries Inc. is seeking a Coordinator, Human Resources to work at our Mill Site near Athabasca, Alberta. The role focuses on administration of workforce systems, HRIS data, total rewards, and training programs within Corporate Services.

The successful candidate will coordinate lifecycle transactions, maintain confidential records, and support reporting and compliance activities. Excellent MS Office and HRIS experience are required, with 2–5 years in HR administration.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Human Resources or related field.
  • 2–5 years HR administration or payroll experience.
  • Experience administering HRIS systems.
  • Experience handling confidential records.
  • Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
  • Experience supporting HR programs and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line reception support for HR and triage communications.
  • Schedule meetings, book rooms, arrange catering, prepare materials.
  • Administer and maintain team member information in HRIS.
  • Process hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, and organizational changes.
  • Monitor workflows and escalate issues; support system testing and upgrades.
  • Prepare and report routine workforce data and documentation.

Alberta-Pacific Forest Industries Inc. (Al-Pac) is seeking aCoordinator, Human Resources to work out of ourMill Site location near Athabasca, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration and coordination of workforce systems, team member data, total rewards administration, training and apprenticeship programs, and other Corporate Services programs. Responsibilities
  • Provide front-line reception support for the Human Resources function and triage incoming digital and in-person communications.
  • Schedule meetings, coordinate meeting room bookings, arrange catering, and prepare meeting materials.
  • Order office supplies and coordinate general administrative activities for the Human Resources department.
  • Administer and maintain team member information within HRIS systems
  • Process team member lifecycle transactions including hires, transfers, promotions, organizational changes, and terminations.
  • Monitor system workflows and elevate issues as required.
  • Support system testing, upgrades, and implementation activities.
  • Coordinate administration of workforce-related programs and initiatives.
  • Support annual activities including vacation administration and policy acknowledgements.
  • Administer apprenticeship registrations, training, records and documentation.
  • Liaise with educational institutions and governing agencies.
  • Monitor mandatory training completion.
  • Prepare, validate and report routine, monthly and quarterly workforce reports and data extracts.
  • Create, maintain, audit, and close electronic records, procedures and user guides in accordance with established procedures and records retention requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and update records management procedures, user guides, and supporting documentation.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Payroll Administration, Information Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in HR administration, payroll, benefits administration, workforce systems, or related functions.
  • Experience administering HRIS systems.
  • Experience handling confidential team member information.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Experience supporting team member programs and reporting activities.

  • Maintain confidentiality of team member and organizational information.
  • Maintain accurate master data and personnel records.
  • Ability to connect with stakeholders
  • Maintain a professional, welcoming, and customer-focused experience for visitors and team members.
