Pay Grade
Pay Grade The annual salary range is $70,437- $112,872 (at 100% appointment) and is based on qualifications, experience, and the placement criteria of Article 14 of the NICFA Collective agreement.
Position Summary
The Digital Design and Development program has a vacancy for a Coordinator whose responsibility will be to act independently in routine administrative matters pertaining to the program.
The Program Coordinator is involved in establishing policies, identifying and developing external contacts, providing day-to-day work leadership and ensuring departmental participation in the hiring process. In addition, the Coordinator makes recommendations on vacations and short-term leaves of absence, advises students and the public on the nature and scope of the program area, participates in the recruitment of students, and supports quality assurance undertakings.
The Coordinator is responsible for liaising with program partner institutions and managing the day-to-day operations of the programs in consultation with the Department Chair and the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Science & Management. The Program Coordinator provides up-to-date information to prospective and continuing students. The Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development of program-related policy, communicating priorities to program faculty, planning workload, attending coordinator meetings with other partnership post-secondary institutions, and performing other additional duties as required.

- Knowledge of and/or interest in financial management practices, including budgeting and expenditure control.
- Knowledge of and/or interest in human resource management practices.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborates with program faculty to maintain a safe and supportive environment for students and instructors
- Supports internal and external reporting as required.
- Supports scheduling of courses and development of work assignments for program faculty.
- Provides guidance to students in identifying suitable career pathways based on their individual aspirations.
- Establishes meaningful connections with student advisors to support program-specific advising.
- Maintains effective communication with interested parties, including faculty, staff, and external partners, to foster collaboration and promote program success.
- Collaborates with high school recruiters and marketing professionals to increase program visibility and attract prospective students.
- Develops and cultivates relationships with professionals in the community in consideration of program quality assurance initiatives.
- Ensures Indigenization practices are incorporated into program planning and curriculum development.
- Provides support to students experiencing challenges and helps promote well-being.
- Coordinates work placement opportunities as necessary.
Required Education & Experience
- A Master’s degree in an appropriate discipline and/or equivalent professional experience;
- Preference for related instructional experience in a post-secondary
setting.
Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Knowledgeable and skilled in current web project management tools;
- Fluent with current project management methods;
- Experienced and fluent with current web design and development technology and tools such as HTML5, CSS3, CMS , web programming and databases;
- Excellent communication skills and positive team management experience;
- Successfully managed team-based web projects from start to completion would be an asset;
- Positive track record in customer and contractor relationship management would be an asset.
