Job summary

RPMGlobal is seeking a Coordinator, Construction Services to administer medium-complexity construction and service contracts for the CMMA Major Capital Infrastructure Team. You will liaise with contractors, monitor schedules, manage quality, and address contract risks while coordinating with Client-Partner representatives.

The ideal candidate has a college diploma in engineering or related field with relevant experience and may hold a professional certification.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: college diploma in engineering, applied science or related field with four years’ relevant experience, or the equivalent.
  • Preferred: certification in applicable field (e.g. Certified Engineering Technologist).
  • Ability to use applicable computer software and operating systems; interpret drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer contracts to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and quality specifications.
  • Coordinate and solve day-to-day contractual problems.
  • Monitor and control schedules.
  • Liaise with Client-Partner representatives on contract-related problems and risks; negotiate change orders.
  • Maintain site activity records and liaise with other service lines and site teams.
  • Develop and maintain relationships within DCC, Client Partners, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure quality standards in line with expectations and manage contract risks.
  • Coordinate contract financials and third-party testing where required.
  • Support health and safety, environmental compliance, and potential business development.

Job description

This position supports the Canadian Multi-Mission Aircraft (CMMA) Major Capital Infrastructure Team through the administration of consulting design and construction contracts that contribute to the delivery of a critical national defence infrastructure program. The successful candidate may manage multiple contracts and competing priorities; coordinate and monitor submissions and deliverables; track project milestones; and support quality assurance and contract performance activities.

The Coordinator, Construction Services, manages and administers medium-complexity construction, professional services and service contracts during construction to ensure compliance with contract requirements. The incumbent engages in daily discussions and negotiations with contractors, consultants and the Client-Partners about quality of work, interpretation of contract documents, scope changes, progress claim reviews and other issues. The incumbent addresses contract management risks within delegated authority, complies with service line requirements, and integrates activities with site teams and other service lines.

KEY AND PERIODIC ACTIVITIES

  • Manage and administer contracts to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and quality specifications
