Defence Construction Canada (DCC) in Comox, BC, is seeking a Coordinator, Construction Services to administer medium-complexity contracts for the CMMA Major Capital Infrastructure Team, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and timely deliverables.

The successful candidate will manage multiple contracts, coordinate with contractors and Client-Partners, monitor milestones and lead negotiations on change orders, while upholding health, safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum: college diploma in engineering, applied science or related field with four years’ relevant experience, or the equivalent.
• Preferred: certification in applicable field (e.g. Certified Engineering Technologist).

This position supports the Canadian Multi-Mission Aircraft (CMMA) Major Capital Infrastructure Team through the administration of consulting design and construction contracts that contribute to the delivery of a critical national defence infrastructure program. The successful candidate may manage multiple contracts and competing priorities; coordinate and monitor submissions and deliverables; track project milestones; and support quality assurance and contract performance activities.

The Coordinator, Construction Services, manages and administers medium-complexity construction, professional services and service contracts during construction to ensure compliance with contract requirements. The incumbent engages in daily discussions and negotiations with contractors, consultants and the Client-Partners about quality of work, interpretation of contract documents, scope changes, progress claim reviews and other issues. The incumbent addresses contract management risks within delegated authority, complies with service line requirements, and integrates activities with site teams and other service lines.
