Job summary

MLSE LaunchPad in Toronto is seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to drive youth programs and enhance the positive experience for members across MLSE LaunchPad initiatives.

You will collaborate with the Engagement and Sport Programming teams to coordinate in-reach activities, school excursions, and special events, while building strong relationships with local schools, families, and community partners.

Job Description

As a member of our dynamic MLSE Community Engagement Team, you will be at centre court of the action. Reporting to the Manager of Engagement, you will be responsible for coordinating In-Reach initiatives, external group and school excursions to MLSE LaunchPad, creating collaborative initiatives, overseeing positive program experiences for youth in programs, and maintaining the strong family culture we have at MLSE LaunchPad.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to the administration, planning, evaluation, and growth of the youth engagement strategy.

What You Will Be Doing

• Work with the Manager, Community Engagement to develop and execute a youth engagement strategy to support the positive experience of youth in MLSE LaunchPad programs
• Provide direct in-reach support for multi-year programs, new programs and programs serving specific populations
• Maintain relationships with local high schools and elementary schools to ensure teachers, youth and parents are aware of opportunities and feel supported during excursions to MLSE LaunchPad
• Assist with scheduling and implementation of Youth Volunteerism and related marketing activities, campaigns, and strategies
• Generate promotional materials such as brochures, public presentations, newsletters and email updates
• Lead, promote and represent the MLSE LaunchPad Youth Advisory Committee within the space
• Support youth-focused special events and initiatives to build and sustain engagement among existing members of the facility
• Work across teams to help plan, organize and execute Summer Camps, March Break and other holiday programming, PA Days and other
