Job summary

PARC Retirement Living is seeking a Cook for the Mulberry PARC community in Burnaby on a temporary 6-month contract (part-time, 20-30 hours). The role offers an hourly rate of $27.94–$29.93 CAD with a true living wage and opportunities to work in a dynamic senior-living setting.

Qualifications

• Culinary diploma or equivalent experience is required.
• Food Safe Level 1 and WHMIS certifications are required.
• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create an incredible dining experience for residents and guests.
• Prepare and serve meals in a restaurant-style and bistro setting.

As a PARC Cook, you’re a member of our Food and Beverage team, responsible for:

• Creating an incredible dining experience for our residents and guests.
• Preparing and serving meals in a restaurant setting - and bistro-style - with flourish, proper food-handling procedures.
• Maintaining a clean kitchen and work space.
• Assisting with receiving and storing food deliveries.
• Preparing and serving residents at proper temperatures and in appropriate portions.
