Job Description

The Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Perform delegated tasks from Sous Chef, Chef, and/or General Manager.
  • Prepare food in the event space according to O&B standards.
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications.
  • Maintain a prep list of station duties.
  • Use the FIFO method to ensure freshness.
  • Assist in food inventory and control.
  • Properly receive and store delivered items.
  • Clean food prep areas, equipment, and utensils, adhering to sanitation, food safety, and hygiene guidelines.
  • Follow WHMIS and MSDS guidelines strictly.
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment.
  • Culinary diploma or degree is an asset.
  • Basic professional cooking and knife skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and follow directions.
  • Ability to stand 100% of the time.
