Responsibilities

• Place dishes in designated storage areas to keep the kitchen organised.
• Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
• Package take-out food accurately and efficiently for waiting customers.
• Prepare, heat and finish simple food items as needed during service.
• Serve customers at counters or buffet tables in a friendly, timely manner.
• Stock refrigerators and salad bars to maintain product availability.
• Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
• Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
• Handle and store cleaning products safely and according to guidelines.
• Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
• Remove kitchen garbage and trash as required.
• Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit for food preparation.
