Job description

We're looking for talented and passionate Line Cooks and Senior Line Cooks to join our beautiful restaurants!

The Distillery Restaurants Corp. is the creator of Cluny Bistro, El Catrin, Pure Spirits, Madrina Bar y Tapas, District Pizza, and Distillery Events (Archeo and The Loft). What you’ll experience with The DRC:

  • $19.00 - $22.00 PER HOUR and food discounts at all our restaurants.
  • CAREER GROWTH! Learn under the guidance of the DRC’s Executive Chef team led by Chef Tim Miles (Culinary Director).
  • CONTESTS! Greatest Dish Challenge: a monthly cooking competition open to all DRC cooks with a $250 CASH prize. This is a great opportunity to challenge yourself and have a panel of DRC Executive Chefs try your food.
  • TRIPS! Selected employees get the chance to visit artisan food producers, participate in cooking demos, and visit farms and suppliers to educate and inspire.
  • GOLDEN TICKETS! Recognitions and prizes awarded to team players demonstrating outstanding work ethic.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Preparing food according to recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications set by our Executive Chef
  • Operating standard kitchen equipment safely
  • Maintaining clean and organized stations
  • Following FIFO methods to maximize product freshness
  • Moving food products and supplies between outlets when necessary
  • Reporting equipment or utensil malfunctions to the Chef on duty
  • Collaborating with BOH team members
  • Promoting DRC’s core beliefs and values daily
  • Performing other duties as assigned

What you’ll bring to the kitchen:

  • Experience: Several years of cooking in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Education/Training: Culinary degree/diploma or equivalent experience. Formal education isn't mandatory if you have substantial experience.
  • Passion: A genuine love for food and a drive to create.
  • Communication Skills: Strong relationship-building and communication skills with team members.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Personality: Humble with a good sense of humor.
