Job summary

Hard Rock Ottawa Hotel & Casino is seeking a Cook to support daily food service operations by preparing, cooking and presenting menu items to exacting quality and safety standards. You will work with culinary and service teams to deliver a great guest experience.

You will maintain cleanliness, follow food-handling procedures, and ensure timely service while complying with health and safety regulations. Ontario Food Handlers Certificate is required.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent education required.
• Minimum of 2-year cooking experience.
• Safe Food Handling certificate.
• Standalone restaurant experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare foods including washing, peeling, and slicing.
• Clean work areas and store deliveries properly.
• Maintain knowledge of food products and sanitation standards; apply culinary techniques.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment according to instructions.
• Assist in reducing food costs and waste; label and date products for safety.
