Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Cook in Calgary to support high-volume food production. You will prepare, pre-cook and cook dishes according to standards and ensure mise en place is ready for service.

You will maintain cleanliness and safety of kitchen areas, label and rotate stock, and communicate with other departments. The role requires proven cooking experience, knowledge of various cooking methods, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

The hourly wage for this role is $20.00. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare, pre-cook and/or cook food products as directed.
• Prepare "mise en place" (setting in place of foods, garnishes, sauces, dishes, cutlery, etc) and otherproducts as required for high volume production.
• Clean kitchen equipment after use according to health and safety policies and procedures.
• Label, date, store and rotate food and beverage products in appropriate storage areas.
• Communicate effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
• Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
