Willoughby Manor Retirement Residence in Niagara Falls, ON is seeking a Dietary Aide to deliver meals and assist in food service under the Culinary Services Manager. The role emphasizes resident safety and high-quality care aligned with our mission.

Qualifications

  • Current certificate in food handling training from a local board health or an agency of the board of health or has recently successfully completed an equivalent food handler training program
  • Cooking experience in a food service setting is required
  • Previous employment in a health care/hospitality setting is an asset
  • Demonstrated understanding of/empathy for the needs of seniors
  • Familiar with HACCP, WHMIS, Occupational Health and Safety, Sanitation Code
  • Knowledgeable about food handling and storage
  • Ability to serve food attractively and correctly by understanding orders
  • Mentally and physically able to perform duties as assigned
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Individual and teamwork skills
  • Ability to make the most of the time you have to provide positive social interactions
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
  • Clear vulnerable sector screening (within last 6 months), recent TB test results (within last 6 months) or Chest X-ray (within last 1 yr), and two supervisory references are required
