Job summary

Sodexo is growing its team in Saskatoon, SK, seeking a Cook for a busy Long Term Care site. This casual, part-time role offers flexible hours and opportunities to work with a supportive team, focusing on healthy, appealing menus and strong food safety standards.

Candidates should have 1–2 years cooking experience; Red Seal and Food Safe certification are assets. Vaccination requirements may apply per location policies.

Job Description

Sodexo is growing! We are looking for a Cook to join our dynamic team. Casual positions available. You will be offered is a great team environment, work/life balance and the ability to cook healthy and appealing menus for consumers.

About YOU

You are an experienced cook (Red Seal is a strong asset as well as Food Safe certificate)who enjoys working in a team environment, ensuring high quality results and meeting food safety, HACCP and OHS standards.

During your mandate, it will be your responsibility to support the Chef in the execution of daily activities defined for our client contract regarding all food service offerings and the a la carte menu. You will use your skills to help create an excellent food service offering for the clients and guests of this site. You will be asked to prepare general food production, cooking, serving as well as other assigned tasks. You will be required to follow the various Sodexo programs: Food Safety, Health and Safety, Policies and Procedures, and Marketing.

You have a minimum of 1-2 years experience in a similar role, excellent customer service and teamwork skills. Strong planning, organizational and time management skills as well as computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). You are able to work under pressure and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures. Red Seal is an asset.
