Role Description

This is an on-site full-time role for a Cook specializing in African Cuisines. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of African dishes following traditional recipes and maintaining the authenticity of the flavors. Day-to-day tasks include selecting and sourcing fresh ingredients, preparing meals according to dietary requirements, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, maintaining inventory, and coordinating with kitchen staff for efficient service. This role is located in Thunder Bay, ON.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in preparing and cooking traditional African dishes
  • Experience in kitchen safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices
  • Ability to manage inventory and source quality ingredients
  • Strong teamwork and coordination skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed
