Are you a culinary professional who takes pride in preparing meals that nourish both body and spirit?

We are currently seeking a Cook(2-month contract) to join our dedicated culinary team at Braddan Private Hospital, located in Vancouver’s scenic Kitsilano neighborhood.

The Opportunity:

As a Cook at Braddan Private Hospital, you’ll play an essential role in creating high-quality, appetizing meals for our residents. You’ll prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a way that respects dietary needs, personal preferences, and the dignity of those we care for.

Our kitchen is more than a workplace, it’s a cornerstone of our residents’ daily comfort and well-being.
Schedule: 4 days a week.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Preparing and plating meals and snacks based on approved menus and special diets
• Ensuring food quality, taste, and presentation meets our high standards
• Following all FoodSafe, WHMIS, Infection Control, and kitchen safety protocols
• Monitoring inventory and advising the Executive Chef of supply needs
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Assisting with special events and celebrations
• Supporting the onboarding of new kitchen staff and contributing to a positive team culture
• Participating in ongoing training and in-service sessions

What We’re Looking For:

• Completion of Grade 12 (preferred)
• Culinary training or food preparation program graduate (preferred)
• Minimum 1 year experience in volume cooking, catering, or healthcare food service
• Current FoodSafe and WHMIS certification
• A respectful, team-oriented approach and passion for serving senior.
